MEMORY CAFE IN LONG ASHTON

Helping people with memory loss, and those who care for them

This community support group meets at the Long Ashton Community Centre on the fourth Thursday of the month from 2:30 - 4:30. I volunteer by providing arts and crafts activities for everyone to enjoy alongside other activities including puzzles, games, singing, and of course tea and cake. Every few months the focus of the café is an activity I have created and everyone is encouraged to join in.

We occasionally have visitors including primary school children who participate in the arts and crafts activities with the Memory Café attendees - providing intergenerational conversation and a fun, social learning experience for all involved.
