TY GWYN SPECIAL SCHOOL GROUP WORKSHOPS

Group facilitation with young students with PMLD

Working with a group of young students at Ty Gwyn Special School as part of two parallel group projects - to run therapeutic art sessions and use these sessions to help create a puppet for a Hyjinx Theatre Christmas performance.

The sessions included creating sensory bunting, mono-printing, salt dough exploration and then a celebratory session creating a board game together. The pupils helped us to pick the colours and materials we used for the puppet, and enjoyed seeing their suggestions come to life as we brought the puppet into school for them to see.
